Face painting has to be the best job in the world. What could be better that painting smiles on faces!
Like many other face painters I came into this work almost by accident. It all started 7 years ago. I was asked to help out at my children's school Summer Fayre. The face painting stall just seemed like the best option at the time. As it turned out I really enjoyed it. I was later asked by some of the parents to do some face painting at their children's party's. I decided that it might be a good idea to take it a little more seriously and take a professional face painting course. The rest as they say, is history.
I absolutely love working with children. I have 25 years experience working with children and adults who have special needs. I also hold and NVQ in Cosmetic Make Up, Beauty Therapy and a Diploma in Advanced Nail Techniques.
Morphasia would not exist today without a lot of help from some very special people. My wonderful partner Peter, who has given me endless support, encouragement and practical help, and my beautiful children Elizabeth and Emily, who have very patiently modeled for me while I work out my new face painting designs.
I'd also like to thank some of the very talented face painters that I have had the privilege to work with and learn from. Thanks to all of these people I am now a very proud member of FACE, the face painting association.
